Push Yourself to the Max

This week we examine pushing to the max in sport.  Whether this is as at an elite/ professional level as a parathlete or as many of us are involved within the grass roots development.

Mark Bullock, former head of International Tennis Federation, joins us to discuss how grass roots sports is creating a significant impact within disability sport.  He has worked with Paralympian and throughout wheelchair tennis.  Hear his thoughts on Dame Tammi Grey Thompson’s comments and his passion about supporting grass roots development. And of course why having international opportunities is important within sport.

Patrick Medhurst-Feeney, more famously referred to as the “Crippled Cricketer” in Twitter land will be joining us live from 9pm.  We will be asking him about the impact sport has played on his disability.  Is it important to have opportunities for players to become coaches?  How can grass roots sports compete with elite level sports such as the Paralympics?  How much coverage does disability cricket receive?

If you have a question for Mark or Patrick or would like to appear on our show, please email speedofsound@dsn.net.au
