Soundballs

Soundballs are a specially designed ball developed by Miyoshi Takei (add link to Background page).  They provide a means of an audible alert to where the ball lands.  The number of bounces allowed for a play is determined by their sight classification.  This is the only ball sanctioned for domestic and international games.   The ball is made of a soft sponge containing an inner core with iron filings which make the tingling sound.  Players are encouraged to use their hearing (add link to how the game is played) to return the serve.

Vision 4 Growth is the UK distributor of Soundballs.

These soundballs can be used as an indoor activity for cricket, rounders and many other ball games.

My younger players enjoy the dynamics of sound and texture of the soft ball” Tennis Coach Cambridge.
