Rather than disability sport, should we be talking about mixed ability
sport? Mark Goodwin, Director at International Mixed Ability Sports,
joins us to tell us more about this revolutionary model and feeds back
from 2017 International Mixed Ability Rugby tournament in Spain. After
half time, we hear from Roy Turnham, Paralympic athlete,
visually-impaired Footballer, tennis player, and good friend of the
show. Roy and his England team mates brought home a bronze medal from
this year’s IBSA European Blind Football Championships. Alongside his
success at the elite level, Roy drops news of grassroots blind
football sessions he has helped to start up in Cambridge. Tune into
our next episode to find out what our reporter discovered about the
sessions….
