Past Projects

We have delivered a variety of projects since operations began in 2013. Some of these projects were as pilots or taster days whilst others have developed into projects we are currently supporting.

Cooking With Confidence

This was a taster project for blind and partially sighted people to feel more confident with the kitchen and learn new techniques to cope with their sight-loss. Nine visually-impaired people took part in this project in Welwyn Garden City 2014.

A partnership project with local care agencies and Lowewood museum to create a range of memory boxes for people suffering from memory loss and dementia.

Working in the local community

It is important for Vision 4 Growth to be part of local community projects. This engages with our beneficiaries and allows volunteers to meet some of the other groups operating in Cedars Park.

Broxbourne Council's Move Week 2015

Encouraging local residents to engage in various activities, this project combined gardening and dancing activities in Cedars Park.

This was an awareness project for primary school children to engage and understand sight-loss.

Cuffley Library Easy Reading Pilot Scheme

Kindly supported by Hertfordshire County Councillor, Mark Mills Bishop, this project was designed to look at the availability of online ebooks for blind and partially sighted residents.

Davis Cup

To celebrate the success of the Davis Cup team, Tennis 4 Cambridgeshire invited Vision 4 Growth to attend this local event September 2016. The first thing Director of Operations and Level 1 Coach asked was, "Can we touch it?".
